Caring for Your Jewelry
Warm water, a drop of mild soap, a soft baby toothbrush — a few minutes, then rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth. Skip ultrasonic cleaners on pavé settings, and keep chlorine and household cleaners away from the metal.
Each piece in its own pouch or box, apart from the others. Diamonds are hard but still scratch softer stones — and scratch each other. Store rings in a tray and chains in a closed box.
Gym, pool, cleaning, gardening — and before perfume or lotion. Put jewelry on last, take it off first. Chemicals dull the metal and can loosen settings over time.
